    There came to the beach a poor beggar from Erin.
    Every hair on his head was as round as a quill.
    His eye balls were asking
    His temples were quaking
    And he smashed his clay
    pipe at the butt of the hill.

    What will I do said the heart broken stranger
    As he gazed at his last bit of weed gone for naught.
    That pipe was a treasure.
    And a smoke is a pleasure
    No matter how dearly tobacco is bought.
