    That part of the river where the old mill does stand
    Has streamlets some islets some cataracts grand.
    And its clear placid waters the haunts of the eel.
    That bask in the sunshine in the Sweet River Deel.
    IV
    On the long Summer's day twas delightful to roam
    By the broad river side near the cataracts foam.
    My soul wrapt in though till the Angelus peal.
    Rang out loud and clear are the Sweet River Deel.

    on the long Summer's eve as the sun slowly sank.
    Our pleasant swim over we sat
