    The beans and the peas are fast climbing the air,
    This Island is all vegetation.
    The whitethorns fragrance now indicates haws,
    The blackthorns too does not falter or pause,
    The blackberry bushes obey Nature's laws.
    Though we are but a small little Nation.

    The crops are now ripening, the summer is going,
    The potatoes are sprayed and require no more hoeing,
    The men and the horses in meadows are mowing,
    All round there is great jubilation.
    The Rebels are home now, the harvest to save,
    From dungeons as gloomy and cold as the grave,
    Because of their action so valiant and brave,
    May God bless this small little nation
