    Jean Grogan, who told the men that they did not carry out the instructions of their dreams. It was a man that came in the shape of a bull, and he did not want them to take it. The gold was removed to some other part of the fort, and the three men went home very disappointed at the loss of their fortunes, but if you go to Mrs. Dalton in Ballyhahill, daughter of Mrs. Kiely, she will show you the fort, and the holes that the men dug, up to this day.

  2. Hidden Treasures.
    4. There is a treasure hidden about a quarter of a mile from the New Road Corner, Rathkeale. Go up a long the Main Street until you come to Roche's Road Corner, and it is straight opposite the corner. The place is called the Abbey. The treasure is hidden in the wall about forty yards from the Main road.
