    a great feast at his court at Tara. Now at this feast a huge fire was lit and there was law that no one was to lit a fire within sight of Tara until the kings fire blazed forth.
    But St. Patrick lighted a fire the Pascal fire - on Slane Hill near Tara and the King in great surprise sent to know what did he mean by such an act.
    Then St. Patrick went before the king and all his great warriors at Tara and told them how he had come to teach them to give up their old ways of praying to the elements and such things and to become followers of Christ.
    The King thought so much of what Saint Patrick said that he allowed him to go through the Island teaching.
