  1. There are various kinds and different sizes of birds. The Hawk is one of the largest birds of the air, and the wren is one of the smallest. The Hawk is a bird of prey. He soars high in the air, straight over small birds, and then swoops down upon them. He also carried off all kinds of young fowl.
The wren is seldom seen except around farm houses in the Winter time. The skylark is a very nice bird, and the best song bird. It is a pity to keep in a cage for its natural instinct is to soar high, in the air while it sings. The Thrush is also a good singing bird, and if kept for a time in a cage sings very loudly in the early morning.
The Robin is a lovely looking bird and has a lovely red breast.
