   are always left beside the well, such as little statues, small pictures, crosses or bit of ribbon. It is said that Saint Bernard's well was once in Collins field at the opposite side of the road. People say that somebody washed clothes in it and next morning the well had removed.

   Holy Wells. There is only one Holy well in my parish. It is in the townland of Clouncagh, and in Baggot's field. The well is called St. Patrick's well. It is visited on St. Patrick's day. The rounds and prayers performed are one rosary to three rounds of the well.
