    D'innis m'athair an scéal seo dom. Nuair a bhí sé ina gharsún d'innis a athair dó é.
    Chuaidh trúir fear go dtí lios mar deineadh taidhbhreamh dóibh go raibh ór ins an lios sin. Do chuaidh siad go dtí an lios agus do thosnaigh siad ag déanamh phuill.
    Nuair a bhí poll mór déanta aca, bhí tarbh ag rith mór thimpheall an leasa agus dar ritheadar abhaile. Bhí eagle ortha roimh an tarbh mar cheapadar gurbh leis na daoine maithe é. Tá an poll le feiscint ins an lios fós agus níor chuaidh aoinne go dtí an lios sin fé dhein an ór.
