Not forgetting the village of sweet Athea.
    And the Listons from Direen.

So now I will name those other boys.
    The Thompsons from the lane.
Who were backed by the reds and that Conway boy.
    And also young tom Sheahan.
Who is the pride of the countryside.
    From the hill of Ballingoull.
But suffered a defeat from those Dillanes.
    Those tailors of renown.

There is one request I ask of you, You boys now from the lane.
If ye don't shun your fighting.
    We'll cause you greater pain.
    We'll bring this band.
    This gallant band.
    Their equals can't be found.
    And we'll sweep you clean.
    With might and main.
From the lanes of sweet Glin town.
