  1. Long ago people did not attend doctors, but seaked remedies from their neighbours.
    For any stomach trouble, sage and dandelions would be got. Then they would be boiled separately and strained. The water left after each herb was mixed and given to the sick person to drink. A cupful every morning fasting, cured the disease.
    To cure tooth-ache, mustard was applied behind the ear. A heated bandage was then put around the ear and the cheek in order to keep in the heat. It is said the ache remained no longer.
