  1. An old National school existed in Ballyglass, before the present National School. It existed seventy years ago. Where this school was situated there is now a farmer's house by the name of Quinlan's.
    In this school there were no desks, only stones, with planks across them. There was no Irish spoken in this school, only all the English language. The subjects were English Arithmetic, and Cathechism.
