  1. Long ago there lived a witch in a large castle. The castle was surrounded by a garden in which grew every sort fruits. Near the garden there lived a poor man and his wife. Every day the poor man used to steal apples from the witchs garden. The witch used to wonder how the apples were going so quickly. One day she watched and she saw the poor man coming in and taking the apples. She went towards him and told him that he could take all the apples he wished provided she got the first child. After a year a child was born to the poor man and his wife. They called her Sheila. They were very sorry to have to
