Paal West, Kanturk, County Cork told me a story about a strange animal. There is a fort situated in my father's land in Paal West, Kanturk, and there is a hare in it. It is supposed to be minding a crock of gold that was hidden there, and no person, or greyhound can kill that hare.
There is a mountain situated about three miles from the town of Millstreet and there is a lake in it, and there is an animal like an otter in it, but it has a tail like a fish.
