  1. An Old Story
    On a wild and stormy night, a fisherman and his wife were seated by their fireside. A cock was perched over the door as was the custom in those days.
    Suddenly a voice came to the window calling the fisherman by name. He replied "I'll be with you" and immediately the cock flew from its perch stood in the middle of the floor and crew. The woman implored the man not to go out so he sat down again at his fireside.
    The voice came to the window a second time, the man replied in the name words and the cock acted as before. The man acting on his wife's advice did not go out this time either.
