    In a wood in the downland of Dromdrastil to the north of Coolkelure Lake stand six stones of different sizes, surrounded by eleven small white stones. It is thought that these upright stones are headstones and they mark the graves of men who perished in a battle. A near by field called "Paddy'd Meadow" is supposed to have been the scene of the battle.
    To the east of these stones, in the same wood is an upright stone about 7ft high, supposed to mark the grave of a chieftain. This stone appears to have been taken from a rock which is close to it.
    In the townland of Dromdrastil on the land of Mr William Ross are seven stones forming a semicircle. There are peculiar markings on these stones. One is a "braided" stone through which is a white line. Somebody tried to break this stone, but only succeeded in knocking off two
