- The following story is told in my district. This story was told by my grandfather.
A man lived in the olden times names An Gobán Saor. He had one son living with him in who also was a mason . He told his son to go to the neighbouring town for a bag of potatoes. He did not buy them as he he thought them too dear. The father said all right. The next day he sent him to another town for the same errand. He came home and he said they were dearer than the day before. He sent him out the third day again and he came back without them he said they were no potatoes in the market. "Now you can see " said the father " that they were dearer today than any other day".(continues on next page)- Collector
