    for the race. The time for the race was twenty minutes and four seconds. Thade Horgan, who was known as Tadhg Domhnaill followed two setters from Carraigín an Cláir to Donoughmore which was a distance of about eight miles and he brought them back again. Daniel Horgan the father of Tadhg Domhnaill was one of the captors of Simon Browne in former times.

He ran from Carraigh a Gabhair to Banteer pursued by horse-soldiers. He escaped by jumping the Blackwater. Then a fast running bailiff was employed for hunting Ua Bhuachalla. The bailiff pursued him for many miles and in the end had to give up the chase. Then the bailiff called Ua Buachalla to come and speak to him and he wouldn't interfere with him.
