  1. Long ago when my Father was young there lived at some distance from his house an old man who he was very fond of. This old man had a donkey car and he was called "Rumpskin the donkey." One day my father went into the dining-room of his own house, and on the table was a spoon and a photograph of the old man. Just as he opened the door and went inside the spoon jumped off the table, struck the ceiling, and came down again on the photograph. This old man lived alone and my father who understood there was something wrong rushed to his house, to find him just dead.
