  1. The parish of Rosscarbery is chiefly in the barony of east Carbery but three of its townlands are in Ibane, and Barryroe. There are in all 42 Townlands in the parish of Rosscarbery.
    What is a townland?
    It was used to denote the extent of land, a six horse plough would turn up in one year.
    (Seisreach = A team of horses.)
