  1. About sixty years ago there was a secret society in Ireland called the Fenians.
    It originated in Skibbereen and O Donovan Rossa was their leader.
    Their object was to free Ireland from England. They rose in rebellion in which they failed and after that the Fenian army fled to America. Others of them were captured and cast into prison.
