    The man began to speak to him. He had already put the bag of stirabout inside his coat. He asked the giant would he like to have power to do something wonderful. The giant said he would. The man then told him he would give him the power to drive a knife into his own body still remaining alive and instead of blood flowing out stirabout would come out instead. The giant was sceptical and he said he would like a demonstration. The man got a knife with a flourish drove into the bag of stirabout and the stirabout flowed out. The giant wondered. The man asked him would he like to be able to do that now. The giant said
