  1. Any number of players can play this game. All the players but one stand in a circle, facing inwards hands caught, stretched out and held high. The one player A stands outside the circle at first. She goes in and out of the ring then under the Arched hands repeating a rhyme while doing so:-
    "In and out go the darkie Blue-bells
    In and out go the darkie Blue-bells
    In and out go the darkie Blue-bells."
    This is said three times. The person that she stops at after repeating the line three times is tapped on the shoulder by A The person tapped then goes behind A, taps A on the shoulder in turn and says
    "Tap rap-a-rapper on thy shoulder"
    Tap-rap-a-rapper on thy shoulder
