  1. There are not so many travelling folk now-a-days as there were in days gone by, but some of them call still.
    "La-la" is one of them, he was tall and thin, he wore a moustache. The children used to call him La-la. Another was Bill Hogan, he never called to our house. Another was Bill the log he was a small fat man, he used to go about playing a mouth organ. Another was Forty - bags. La-la and Bill -the-log were the two most welcome travelling folk up our way. Bill-the-log was the only one the children loved because
