- (continued from previous page)When a man is getting married the second time, there is a very ugly custom here. It is called "boohing." The men + the boys make whistles out of cow horns + use them. Some break the bottoms out of bottles and blow through them. The crowd so engaged can be heard miles away. They go out two or three nights before the wedding, and on the wedding night, they are worst. The stay up all night blowing horns. Sometimes the man goes for the police but it is only a foolish man who does so because he is tormented then all the more.
