There is an old story told about the big house in the Bloodstock (Brownstown Ho. occupied by the Bloodstock Agency).
Long ago there lived a woman and her son there. The son was a priest and the English soldiers were looking for him. One day when the soldiers were coming to the house his mother hid him up the chimney. While he was up the chimney he was smothered. Every night since that the woman is seen trying to get him out. This is seen about 12 o'clock.
