  1. It is supposed to be lucky to have a rookery near one's house. The crows are never interfered with in any way while nesting. They are not shot at, nor are the nests disturbed.
    They begin housekeeping and building their nests on the 1st of March and if this happens to be a Sunday, they do not begin until the Monday, the 2nd of the month.
