Delaney, a travelling schoolmaster who succeded him taught for a few years. Later on he went to the houses teaching children their first lessons before the attended school just to make a living. He was a man with two comrellic feet. In winter when the snow was on the ground the master brought the pupils into a room in "Casses" house and taught them there. They had a fire in the room to warm themselves. There were two big holes in the rock and a woman by the name of Molly Burk lived in one of them. It is still called "Moll Burke's Hole".
