    Walkers:
    The late John Mac Donald who died at the age of sixty-three in Thomstown walked from Waterford Bridge to Ballincrea cross-roads in flfty minutes. The distance between both places is five Irish miles.
    Runners:
    Mr. George Quinn who laboured in a farm-house was noted for his running he ran in sports and many feats.
    Reapers:
    The late Edward Phelan Bigwood used to reap an acre and a half in a day
    Animal Capturing:-
    Patrick Quinn Tahee aged about forty. While he was in Waterford one day he saw a horse and cart run away from a shop door when the horse and reached him he jumped on the horse's head and held him.
