    and swear about the firkin he made. When the court was over the party who had stolen the butter threw John Grant into the river Barrow in Thomastown. The party who had stolen the butter got the best of the court. John Grant was nine days in the river and he could not be got. Some one got two blessed candles and tied them on a sheaf of straw. They put it into the river and it flowed along until it stood over where he was. They found his body there.
