    There is a moat field in Rathgorragh (a mile from the school) and it is said that if anyone enters it after night-fall he cannot get out till next morning.
    One night long ago, a local resident named Anthony OBrien went into it and he was all night, till day-light next morning, searching for the gate to get out.
