- When the men are milking they whistle to keep the cows quiet. When the cows are being milked nobody should go near them to disturb them.Long ago people used to have their cows in the kitchen.
If the cows hear music near they stand still - If possible the same person should milk the cow or if not put on the person clothes as the cows can smell.To tickle or scrach a cow keeps it quiet.If a cow kicks hold his nose.
