  1. If a man bought a horse he should get the halter from the seller. If the horse afterwards got a fever or gripe this halter was out on. It was supposed to be a cure.
    When an animal was sold the seller always gave the buyer a "Luck - penny."
    If a man was buying a cow it was unlucky to ask her name, but the seller called her by name when driving her so that the buyer would know it - without having to ask it.
