Years ago, unbaptized children were buried in forts. At a later period they were buried in disused graveyards. Unbaptized children, nowadays, are buried in graveyards but not in the graveyards of their fathers.
Local families still use certain graveyards though they may be further distant than the parish graveyard - they use the graveyard of their ancestors.
If a woman died at a young age without issue she is, as a rule, buried with her own people.- Collector
