Long ago there was an old woman who never threw out the feet-water.
One May night that she did not throw out the feet water. She went to bed about ten- o'clock. She left two servants sleeping in a settle-bed in the kitchen. When the clock struck twelve, the old woman jumped out of bed and rolled herself in the feet water and ran out the door in the form of a hare for the purpose of milking her neighbour's cows. She was not gone far from the house when one of the servants jumped out of the bed and threw the feet water out the door. She heard(continues on next page) - Collector
