  1. Old Peter Murphy out beside us had two fine daughters and as he is a very hard man none of the young boys would marry either of them.
    One fine Thursday the elder of them was out in the market with her basket of eggs and butter. Larry Finn saw her and thought that she would make him a good wife. He used to meet her at the bottom of the lane every night.
    When old Murphy was giving the daughter to Finn he gave her a sheep and a cow. He told Finn that he would not have any carry
