    AGUISÍN
    An Staragán:-
    Since writing what I remembered about above as given in pages 104 to 107 I read the article to a man who has in his possession a very old Staragán.
    My diagram represents the article but the baskets are made separately and detachable. When the article is to be set in the stream hay is put into the larger one and the smaller one is dropped in, its rim (buinne) fitting inside the rim (buinne) of the larger one. A few cipíní stuck through both made sure that the water did not dislodge the smaller one.
    To remove the fish the cipíní were pulled out and the smaller basket and hay removed.
