    The "ladhar is formed by the junction of the Abha Caol and Abhaim Uí Chriadh.
    Because the townland to which Ladhar belonged was not generally agreed upon, it was formerly sold to two distinct persons by a ruse.

    Sometimes misspelt Mausrour
    Area:- 613 acres 2 roods and 32 perhces.
    Subdivision is Dhá Gniomh ( two twelfths of plowland ) with three holdings.
    Father Sylvy lived at Patrick Brosnan's old house. Thence he romoved to Rath Mhór to the doctor's outhouse, having got land here from Lord Kenmare. Some of the walls of the old house are still to be seen. He is said to have had two curates living with him.
    Filacht Fiadhaidh ( burnt stones ) in Daniel O'Keefe's ( 20 feet by 15 and 4 feet hig ), in Patrick Brosnan's (formerly), in William Daly's ( one 50 feet in diameter and ten feet high and a second 30 feet by 15 with 6 feet underground
