  2. Micheal Scanlon, Cragg, Currens, who died about ten years ago was a great mower. Once he was employed by a man in Currens to mow a field of one acre and a quarter. His pay was about four shillings. Micheal began his work about nine o'clock in the morning, ate his dinner at his leisure and had his work completed for sunset
    John Moriarity, Killeen could mow an acre of hay, at his ease in a day.
    Tom Brosnan, Boherboy can also mow an acre in a day.
