  1. When Mrs Anne Denneddy, Knockbrack, Keash, Ballymote, Co. Sligo, was a young girl she was sent on a message to a neighbouring house. It was approaching nightfall and her friends were busily preparing for a wedding. She had not yet gone far when she heard great singing and listened attentively for a few moments. She then proceeded onwards and felt the music coming closer. As she was passing a hollow on the side of the road, she looked into it where sighted about twelve fairies. They were all clothed in red jackets and were all singin merrily hand in hand.
The place where the fairies were seen by Mrs Anne Denneddy, is situated about a quarter of a mile directly south-west of this school.
The foregoing was related to me by my aunt whose name is Anne Denneddy, Knockbrack, Keash, Ballymote, Co. Sligo
