  1. The British Isles do not offer very much from severe storms in comparison with other parts of the world. The principal storms of the British Isles are:- Thunder lightning and High winds. Simmer is the most time we get the thunder storms. The lightning sometimes inflicts damage to trees houses and cattle. One storm which came four years ago did much destruction. The lightning destroyed several trees ripped the roofs off houses and killed a cow and horse in our county. But of late such storms are rare. Much
