    she could bring the butter. She used to have a hand of a dead man & when she used to get inside the door of any house no one could waken when the hand was inside & she used to rob every house No one knew how the butter used to be taken. The churns in the olden times were the shape of a barrel & a hole in the lid for the churn dash to go up & down. When the people are churning they usually have a white cloth round the churn dash so that the milk would not splash out on the churn. In a big farm where there are seven or eight cows the farmer sends his milk to the creamery (to) because it is too much to churn. When there is only one cow the woman of the house churns the milk her-self
