Once a man went to an outhouse to get hay to feed an animal, and when he reached the house, he found a deer; when the deer saw the man he got afraid and ran under his feet, and carried the man on his back to Union Wood, and left him on the top of Union Rock. I heard this story from an old man who lives in Markree.
