    A cure for swelling which is called the Rose is made by old men and women. It is made by gathering herbs in the field and saying some prayers. These herbs are mixed with butter and rubbed on the sore.
    A cure for a sprain on the foot is made from Comfry.
    A poultice made from bowtree cures burns, if rubbed on the afflicted part. If any of the mixture falls it is not to be lifted.
    Mountain sage boiled with liquorice, candy sugar and lemon juice is a cure of a cough.
    When the seventh son or daughter of a family is born worms are put in the hands and when they grow up they have a cure for ringworm.
