Castle Browne is two and a half miles from Slievadara School

Between Castle Browne and the sea there was a little space of ground and that is said to be a burial ground for to this day there are little mounds and holes such as graves and buildings such as vaults. A little to the west of Brownes Castle was the burial place of some of those who were lost in the Armada as their bodies were washed ashore in this place
