  1. There is a story in Carroweagh about wild cats going in to a certain house. The woman of the house was so frightened that she put all the milk and cream she had in the house into a dish and left it on the floor All the cats gathered round drinking and when they had the tub empty they all looked at her and on going out each bowed his head in gratitude
