  1. There lived in the Townland of Leitrim a family by the name of Walshes. Walsh was a shoemaker. The house he lived in was haunted. Every night when they used to go to bed they were sure to hear noise in the kitchen. One night one of the boys was returning home from town. He heard a little man walking by his side but he could not see him. He ran and the little man ran. When he was going in the door of the kitchen he got a kick of a shoe. The next morning the boy was sick and nearly died. He never after went out by night. He lived but he was no good after.
