Eddi Moran Drimmeen Cloone gives a list of harmful weeds as follows.
Scutch grass, crowfoot, nettles and thistles. The scutch grass is more harmful than the rest as it spreads rapidly every year. The only way to get it out of the land is to let it out to cattle to feed on and when the cattle are a while grazing on the land the scutch grass will fail.
You would not see thistle growing on bad land. Only real good land is able to grow them. The doc leaf is good for the sting of a nettle. Doc leaf is also given to pigs as feeding stuff.
Scutch grass leaves land poor for crops.
