    Apply a hot cabbage leaf to the throat with a bandage.
    Cough: Drink a cup of boiling milk and sugar.
    Swellings: Heat a cabbage leaf and apply to the swollen portion by means of a bandage.
    Sty: Prick the sty with a gooseberry thorn. Another cure is to measure the sty three times with a gold ring.
