    Special Days.
    People do not on May Day or the do not give away milk on that day.
    They do not work on the twenty eight of December.
    They do not move into a new house any day but Friday.
    Good Friday is the day on which to begin to sow new potatoes and oats.
    My parents know of no certain time to sow cabbage.
    The first three days in April are the days on which the old cow died and it is said that March borrowed the three days from April to kill the old cow.
    In October the harvest of the geese is when the geese are let into the field to eat the stubbles after the oats is cut.
    The night of the sixth of January 1839 is known as the night of the big wind.
