    There was an old school in one of Mrs. Tierney's fields and her grandfather taught in it. The school was near where the Church is now, in Glenamaddy, and it was like a cow-house.
    The Kilkerrin school was in one of the Monk's fields, and it was a thatched house.
    The Leihren school was in a field also and it was a thatched house also.
